In Karen's thread about how lives relate I mentioned the prelife state. I'm wondering if anyone here has recalled or regressed to the between lives state, the prelife state as some call it. I've done a few regressions to the life between lives both for my present life as well as for some of my FPLs. Overall they are far more depthful than just regressing to a past life because it gives a much larger perspective about how the life in question fits into the big picture and how it relates to other lives. It's an area not many have seem to have explored so I was wondering if anyone else here has explored it. If so I have 2 questions.

1. Do you recall why and for what purpose(lesson etc.) you choose your present life circumstances/family?
2. Do you recall any of the other possibilities for lives you could have lived?

My answers.
1. I saw there being 2 or 3 major purposes for my life. The first involved resolving conflict with an individual I've had problems with in many lives and who I came close to violence with in the present. I successfully resolved the issue but the residual anger is still an issue. The second purpose seemed to be general resolution of lots of trauma that has been building up for many lives, which is a work in progress. I feel I've made alot of progress in that area but certainly no where near resolved. The last purpose seemed to be later on and stretched into the future and involved teaching. I saw that my many mental conflicts, if I could come to terms with them and resolve them, would give me extraordinary understanding of the human mind and deeper things, like all the various pyschic and paranormal phenomenon that interests me. I was aware too that it would likely be a very lonely inwardly focused life where I'd have to deal with much deception and mistrust. I see my literary interests as reflecting the teaching part. From glimpses into my own future I saw major resolutions/issues coming up around the 2020s and these subjects becoming more mainstream in the 2030s and 2040s. In my later life(2040s-2060s), assuming I resolve the necessary issues, I saw myself having students and being a founder of an international organization that studies these things.

I picked my parents primarily for location(meeting others)and a stable environment. Although I don't relate well to my parents I get along well with them better than average. I saw I had a tendency from other lives towards abusive and self destructive environments. To repeat those conditions would likely have resulted in me making no progress away from violence and destruction, my life is atypical in that regard. However many of my friends were raised in abusive families which leads me to wonder if I'd been born with their family groups in other lives and chose not to this time.

2. Before my present life I saw great vairations in choices, 14 in fact, ranging from a crippled man in Argentina, to many third world female lives as well as first world ones. Most of the lives I saw were poor and lived in oppressive environments but I rejected those mainly cause of the violent destructive tendencies above. Two choices however were very interesting in that they must have been very tempting to me as they bring up issues I've wondered about. The first was as a stunningly drop dead gorgeously attractive Japanese woman with a wealthy father. That seemed to be the most appealing life to me but the one in which I'd likely learn the least, although it would have allowed me to do good in the world. The other option was a male life as the wealthy son of a prominent American political figure. He was exceedingly rich and leaned pretty far to the right so our relationship would not be good. I saw myself having a Harvard education and plenty of money but would likely have bad relationships, not have most of my present awareness and not succeed politically in today's climate. I was unsure of whose son exactly I'd have been but I felt he definately could throw his weight around. He wasn't as bad as alot of the current administration but he's not the type I'd ever vote for or get along with and I sensed I'd likely be a source of shame for him. All my present issues with the government would be uncontrollably a source of conflict had I been born in that life. Still it would be interesting to find out who this individual is. I'd just have to find out if any prominent Republicans had a child around 1982-1984, though that might be a pretty big task. The reason for pickig my current life was that it provided mental conflict and a stable environment to resolve it, but not too easy I'd never pursue anything deeper, as in the 2 wealthy lives.

I also saw the prelife before one of my prominent roman lives to see the other options were to be the emperor of China's son or the son of a Syrian governor. In another of my lives I saw the other option of being born as the son of an Italian farmer who'd be a conflicted priest or the son of a Polish aristocrat. That was very interesting because I later met that individual in the life I ultimately chose and had strong affection for him almost as though I actually were his son!

I can't remember the choices I had, but I know why I came back.
To resolve a lot of karma and to tie up loose ends.

In the aura reading I had last year something similar was said.
It's time I put an end to destructive karmic patterns.
And it's time to find peace within myself.

In my current life there's plenty of room for that.
And the last 3 years I finally have the idea that I'm heading in the right direction.

So all the confusing memories, all the hard healing work, it's been beneficial.
But it took me some time to see that.

I am an archetype. An unwanted and forgotten archetype, and the stereotypical Jungian ESTJ, but an archetype nonetheless. I am not trying to boast, for I wouldn't wish this on others. In a sense, I have to come back to fulfill a similar purpose every time.

And what is this purpose, If I may inquire?

What? I didn't even know there was such a thread.

I was talking about a real one, Karen. One of 'my kids' wants to get into cage fighting. A friend of his is into it, and so he wants to play as well. I think he'd be good at it.

They do them downtown, at the old bank building. They set up a steel cage, and it's "no rules". Whoever can crawl out after 3 rounds, wins.

I found myself,.... why, and what were the main reasons, I myself keeps right on coming back, again and again and again. This will not explain the reasons for all who come back, but it just might let a few of you know why I keep returning. I will try and answer your two question below the best that I can.

Yes, only in looking back, at different happenings in my life, circumstances and acquaintances which helps prepare your life for you, and others you meet in this life, for another go round so to speak.

2. Do you recall any of the other possibilities for lives you could have lived?

Yes to this question also,... and to make it short and sweet, I believe Vincent van Gogh was Rembrandt van Rijn in one of his previous lives and who Rembrandt was before that I could care less. Who Vincent was reincarnated between him and myself, I believe was some kind of a deviant female person, and not needing any recognition, if you know what I mean.

Now getting back to the original question, why did I and do I keep coming back? That my friends, or should I say art loving friends, is told to you all in the works of Rembrandt and Vincent van Gogh.

I'm not kidding. I love to eat, and I'm pretty sure I keep coming back so that I can be physical and eat stuff. Unfortunately, Last Time Around I didn't get to eat much, and This Time Around I have lost a lot of my ability to eat things I used to love due to physical problems. (As little as six years ago I loooved spicy food, the hotter the better, but that's out now.)

I really hope I can contain my appetite for a while after I kick off this time. I don't think the coming century or so is going to be any fun, or loaded with good food.
