"I'm French you know..."

Exploring the many ways we discover clues to our past lives

"I'm French you know..."

Postby Sandra on Fri Oct 17, 2008 10:43 am

At the family reunion we had this past weekend, watching my great-nephew W run around wearing a fedora he loves (he's five years old). I have only seen him twice: just after he was born, and briefly at my sister-in-law's house last Thanksgiving - this weekend was the first chance I had to get to know him. I kept laughing about the fedora - it fit in with what I knew.

I told his aunt, one of the two nieces I can trust with the past life stuff, about the dream I had just after he was born:

This tiny baby was sitting up in front of me talking with an old man's voice.

"Hello," he said, "I'm French, you know."

I had laughed and replied "well, cava, monsieur, hello..."

He told me he had died old, had loved his food, his clothes, and women, and wanted to see what America was like. Then he excused himself to be a baby... that was it about the dream.

My niece's jaw dropped as soon as I said the line about being French. When I was finished telling the dream, she told me that on the trip to the gathering, she and his mother and their mother had been chattering off in the Spanish they knew, and talking about how her own daughters spoke German. W was not impressed but any of it. He spoke up and said "I only speak French."
If this be error, and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

Me too! :D Sometimes anyway...

Hope you enjoyed Elizabethtown so much you'll come back soon.

Sounds to me like you had what Ian Stevenson called an announcing dream. I had those with my sisters kids but not with my brother's grandkids.

Tell me, do you do that a lot?

Today is the 10th anniversary of my grandfather's death. Awhile after he died, I don't recall precisely when, I had a dream where he was in a cabin and said he was returning to Earth with a name starting with Z. In March 2000 my older cousin had a son named Zack. In 2004 I was swimming in the pool and he told me when I was youger I swam in his pool. I'm not sure how to take that message. We never had a built in pool though I do recall playing a kiddie pool in the backyard when my grandpa was still alive. Still I think my hunch was right. I often get impressions about where people who passed on are now or where people yet to be born are going to be born but so far haven't gotten direct confirmation like you have! Congradulations :).

I think it's fascinating. When I dreamed that my sisters daughter was my aunt, I wasn't very sure it wasn't just something I fantisized because I'd read so much of Stevenson's work prior. I took a wait and see attitude about it. Oddly enough, even though she was my favorite aunt when I was a kid, I'm not sure I really "knew" her if you know what I mean. I'm not sure I'd recognize her personality traits or interests because I'm not sure I ever really knew them. The reason I liked her was because she was so nice to me. I was too wrapped up in my own head when I was a kid.

I had a better sign from my brother's 1st grandkid, but no dream.

Was your grandfather colorful enough that you'd recognize a continuity of interest, temperment or personality?

I have had a number of announcing dreams, Peter, but I don't know if this counts. I had the dream after the baby was born. I still remember it very clearly - how tiny he was.

In a related matter, his older sister, who is the reincarnation of my brother, has finally settled into this lifetime, and I no longer see my brother in her - she has put his persona behind her. She also does not look like him anymore - she did when she was younger.
If this be error, and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

If it's the timing, I don't think pre or post birth is an issue. How did he put it, someone, either a parent or a close relative has a dream in which the soul introduces itself to the dreamer...

As I said, I find it fascinating.

Well when I knew him he was senile mostly, though he was colorful then ;), although he was pretty intelligent just in general aside from that. My dad said when he was younger he was a real "cool guy" who all his friends liked, by cool guy he smoked and drank alot and occasionally did drugs :D. I haven't seen Zack more than a few times really so it's hard to compare him to a man I only knew as an older individual. Zack is known to be very sweet and polite so is a person people get along with easily. My grandpa, at least in his old age, was pretty mellow, always struck me as an easy going guy. Despite the age gap I think Zack does look a bit like him but beyond that is hard to say. It would be interesting to see what his reaction was if he saw pictures, videos of my grandpa or things my grandpa used to own.

A somewhat unrelated impression I had once, well also a dream I think, was that upstairs where I live now before I was born in the 1970s there was some college age guy who did drugs and partied alot upstairs. I later found out such a person did live there as I recalled, his name was Seth which is actually a name I've always felt strng resonance with. I also saw pictures of my Dad's time in the military where he was stationed in Germany and pictures of places my parents went when my mom was pregnant and they definately looked familiar so I feel I was picking up prebirth memories or trying to contact them but I don't think they had any announcing dreams.

Most of the impressions I get about other dead relatives aren't presently verifiable. I got impressions that my dad's mom who died 10 years before I was born in 1971 I think was reborn in Germany as a man in January 1983 and my other grandfather who died in 2001 was reborn as a Frenchgirl in 2003 and was just starting school, so I have no current life relationship with them in their new lives. I often get impressions that my other grandmother who died in 2002 is still disincarnate and plans to reincarnate as the child of one of my younger cousins in 2015. At present none of those cousins are married or expecting children in the near future and only one is in a really serious relationship.

I seem to get alot more impressions strangely enough from disincarnate people I don't know yet who are being born now or will be born in the coming years and occasinally messages from famous people I had known little to nothing about prior to the dreams. I've been informed these children, a majority of whom seem to be reincarnating from other planets, will be coming of age in the late 2020s and revolutionize the world in the 2030s. The main being who relayed this information to me, who appears to have been killed(or fought in) in D-Day in his last life, hopes to reincarnate as my child in 2020 even though I never planned on having children. I also sensed someone I know who I still living would reincarnate as my daughter in the same year(twin children)which also seems to be my year of highest personal success(several pyschics independently sensed similar). Aside from that I get lots of impressions of people who I'll know later in life who are alive now as well as their last life and next ones.* But it will be a long wait to verify any of this I guess. But I felt I'd be working with these children being born now in my later life so it will be interesting to see what kind of memories they'll have.

I don't spend alot of time around children but 10 years ago I recall asking some neighborhod children about past lives. One recalled being an alien coming to Earth and the other I very vaguely recall saying something about being a truck driver or driving trucks. I'd feel weird asking most people this though. I'm just shy in general but I've very private about these matters outside those who share similar interests.

*I don't want to hijack this thread so maybe I should start a separate topic but this is the only instance where I may actually have received enough info to verify an individual. I dreamed in January 2005 that a significant person I'd work with in my later life died in an airplane crash in March or May 1979. I later found out there was indeed a major airplane crash on May 25th, 1979 and looked up more about the crash here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheldon_Wax and in the process discovered one of the individuals on the crash was this individual- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Itzhak_Bentov . Apparantly Bentov was a researcher of consciousness studies and proposed the idea of the holographic universe. It might then make sense his reincarnation would have a high level of awareness and pursue similar studies in this life which could bring us into contact. Not much else to say about that but I found it very interesting.

Ok update. I recently saw a recent photo of Zack and although he's only 8 I can kinda see more of my grandpa in him than before. Also last week a waiter in a restuarant mentioned that his 9 month old daughter was so tempermental and "running the show at the house" compared to her sister and the rest of the family that he feels she must have been here before. Was nice to hear :).
